Word of the initial release date first got around after product listings for the game started being updated earlier today. This was followed by the official announcement on the From Software Twitter account. This is the first information that has been given in regards to the release plans of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which was revealed during this year’s E3 conference.
Coinciding with the date reveal, a Collector’s Edition of the title was also revealed through Activison’s official developer/publisher blog. This special package will be available upon release and is now available for preorder, along with the standard edition of the game. It’s contents will include:
- Full Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Game
- 7” Shinobi Statue
- Collectible Artbook
- Digital Soundtrack
- Replica Game Coins
In addition, it has also been confirmed that a demo build of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be playable at Gamescom later this week. This will mark the first time that anyone, fan or industry insider, will be able to play the game.
