Nintendo has confirmed that the Yoshi series title that was revealed during E3 2017 is being delayed until 2019 — and no, it’s not because of tax fraud.
In the latest turn in what has become a mysterious case surrounding the green dino’s platformer, the news of the delay was circulated earlier tonight once the product page for the game was updated. Yoshi’s absence during today’s E3 Nintendo Direct seemed to hint at this coming, and the updated page confirms it.
Even though Yoshi for Switch was originally debuted during last year’s E3 with a full trailer and gameplay demonstration during the Treehouse live segment, nothing has been seen since. Speculation points towards potential development issues utilizing the Unreal Engine, but no official comment has been made.
