Much to the dismay of Nintendo fans, Bandai Namco has announced that Dark Soulf Remastered will need a launch delay on Nintendo Switch — now pushing it back into Summer at some point.
Due to the nature of causality, we must announce that the Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to summer of 2018, and with it, the release of the Solaire of Astora amiibo.
PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release date.

The disappointing news was relayed earlier this morning on the official Dark Souls Twitter, as well as regional Nintendo accounts. This delay also applies to the coveted Solaire Amiibo that will presumably release at the same time as the remastered title. All other versions, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, are still slated to release on May 25th.
While it is unknown if development ran into any type of snag with the hybrid console, the developers have commented that the extra time will be used to improve players’ overall experience. A point of stress for some already is that no specific date has been pinpointed for Summer as of today, but hopefully the title should only be pushed back by a couple months at most.
