Maverick hunters on the way: Capcom has announced that Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will both be releasing for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in late July.

The release date and other corresponding information were confirmed earlier this morning by Capcom and the official Mega Man social media accounts. The included footage gives fans a first glimpse at the familiar gameplay of the collections — but this time with improved visuals. In addition to art galleries filled to the brim with history and nostalgic promotional materials, a new mode will also be included — the X Challenge — which will pit the player up against two bosses at once.
The release of the Mega Man X Legacy Collections comes almost exactly two month after the release of the Mega Man Legacy Collections on Nintendo Switch. Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 will include Mega Man X 1 thru 4, while the second Collection will include 5 thru 8.
In terms of pricing and availability, both digital and physical options will be sold. Retail bundles of both Mega Man X Legacy Collections will he offered for all console options for the price of $39.99 MSRP. For the Switch version, a physical cartridge for the first Collection will come with a download code for the second Collection. Finally, Collection 1 and Collection 2 can indeed be purchased separately by digital means, each for the price of $19.99 MSRP.
