Spider-Man Swings Onto PS4 on September 7

Developer Insomniac Games has confirmed that players will finally be able to sling web as their favorite acrobatic super hero when Spider-Man releases on PlayStation 4 in early September.

In a timed collaboration with popular magazine Game Informer, Insomniac Games has let loose on a load of details surrounding the highly anticipated release of their action-adventure title early this morning. While some were recently worried that silence around the game was indication of an impending delay, Insomniac verified today that Spider-Man won’t be late to the party.

Not stopping there, a collector’s edition was also detailed — filled to the brim with items fans with gush over. Physically, the bundle will include a commemorative sticker, steel book cover, mini artbook, and a Spider-Man statue to be revealed at a later date in Summer. This all on top of digital bonuses to be used in-game, which feature three post-launch story chapters and quests, three additional costumes for the webslinger himself, a drone gadget to be utilized in-game, and an exclusive PSN theme-avatar bundle.

Pricing on the Spider-Man Collector’s Edition has not been released, but it would seem safe to assume it will be revealed around the time that the statue is shown off.
