“I run a delivery service. For pain.”
Cowabunga, indeed. Warner Bros. today released the first gameplay of the Ninja Turtles in Injustice 2. The highlight showcases a lot of character, as well as some classic TMNT brawling.
The latest Injustice 2 video has the whole gang: Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo. Each of the Turtles gets a chance to shine and kick some villain butt. Though we love the lines of Raphael, our favorite has to be Michelangelo, who beats up Black Manta with his skateboard.
The Ninja Turtles/DC crossover has to be one of the weirdest (and greatest) we have seen in a while. We won’t question how it came to be, but some may be wondering how the characters work exactly.
As it stands, the Ninja Turtles might be something like the Pokemon Trainer of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Whether through button or combination, the player seems to be able to switch between the Turtles at will. Our guess is that each Turtle will feature a standard moveset (like the kicks we see each perform) with a few special moves to help them stand out.
We really love the characters’ Super Move, however, which brings them all together. ‘Shell Shock’ sees the opponent body-slammed mid-air by all four of the Turtles.
And it wouldn’t be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without pizza in the outro.
The Turtles make up the last slot in the third DLC character pack for Injustice 2. The other characters, Atom and Enchantress, released in December and January respectively. The TMNT team is to make its appearance this month, but we have yet to receive a specific date.
Injustice 2 is available for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
