The surprising news broke earlier this evening on the various regional Nintendo official Twitter accounts. While obviously no gameplay information is available yet, the game is already being dubbed as Mario Kart Tour. As it stands, the title is planned to launch within the fiscal year ending in March 2019.
In terms of Nintendo’s mobile titles, this marks the second confirmed games to be in development going forward. Previously, The Legend of Zelda was noted as being in existence for smartphones, yet no release window has been discussed yet.
