The disappointing information was confirmed this morning in a tweet published to the official Monster Hunter Twitter account. CAPCOM explains that the release date is necessary to accommodate further optimization for the action/adventure RPG of such a scale, citing that they are taking fan feedback from each gameplay demonstration into account,
Although no concrete release date had yet been given for the PC version of the highly anticipated Monster Hunter installment, many fans were hopeful that it would not be long after the January 26 PS4 launch date. However, it seems that fans will instead be waiting a few months instead of weeks — barring any additional delays.
On the slightly brighter side, it was also noted that Monster Hunter: World will continue to receive updates following its release later this month. Reportedly, this will be in the form of new monsters — and it would not be surprising if new gear and weapons were thrown in as well.
