As if there was ever much doubt, Nintendo of America has confirmed that the Atlus developed JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V will be localized and released on the Nintendo Switch in the West.

The plans were confirmed earlier this morning on the official Nintendo of America Twitter account. Although the game’s existence has been known for quite sometime — since the Nintendo Switch Presentation back in January — no word of a localization has come till now. Even during the latest Shin Megami Tensei focused stream, where new footage was shown off, the title had only been mentioned for Japan.
Thankfully, however, Nintendo has also provided a translated version of that same trailer that gives a little more context for English players. It also gives prospective players a bit of a window for what to expect from the future localization.
