The climactic moment of Marvel
It is finally here. After the release of a teaser yesterday and months of lead-up, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War has finally dropped.
Maybe see it for yourself before reading any more here.
This is it. This is the Marvel movie to bring together all the other superhero movies. Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Panther… Infinity War looks to be the greatest balancing act yet for a Marvel movie.
We can only hope it isn’t too ambitious of a project for its creators, though it looks amazing so far. Though the $500 million figure is not likely to be true, Infinity War is definitely Marvel’s biggest budget. And with all those high-profile actors and actresses, dividing up screen time must have been a nightmare. But the show has almost made it to the screen.
Avengers: Infinity War premieres on May 4, 2018. It will be the movie to debut after Black Panther, which releases on February 16, 2018. Of course, it won’t be the last Marvel movie. We still have Deadpool 2 in June of that year, and Infinity War’s sequel beyond that.
As far as what’s been planned so far, we are reaching the closing moments of the Marvel cinematic universe. Whether superhero movies will continue is uncertain. But we might as well revel in our big moment.
