The two upcoming DLC campaigns for Resident Evil 7 biohazard will act as epilogues focusing on Lucas, Zoe, and Jack Baker — as revealed in a new trailer for the game’s Gold Edition release.
Shared today on the official Resident Evil YouTube channel by CAPCOM, the video shows off previously unseen footage of the anticipated additional content for the horror and suspense title. Although some initially thought these two campaigns would be short, side fodder, it appears that each will give crucial insight into the events that take place after main character Ethan Winters had been rescued from the Bakers’ home.
The first of these missions, — the Not A Hero DLC — will have players taking control of longtime fan favorite character Chris Redfield in his pursuit of Lucas Baker following word of his escape and continued experiments. Then, as part of the second End of Zoe DLC story, players will learn of the girl’s fate after seemingly being left behind to calcify after not being given the necessary cure during the main game. As a short tease, Jack Baker is shown finding Zoe and taking her with him, promising to fix her — potentially hinting at Jack himself being a playable character.
Both DLC campaigns are set to release alongside and as part of the Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition on December 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. While Not A Hero will be free content for owners of either edition of the game, End of Zoe will be included in the Gold Edition bundle or sold separately for those who stick to the standard edition route. No known price has been set for this content yet, however.
