Red Dead Redemption 2 is back
Last week, Rockstar Games tweeted a time and a date, with no other information on the graphic. That moment now here, Rockstar Games has given us something new to talk about.
Based on the design of the graphic, we all assumed that the announcement had something to do with Red Dead Redemption 2. It was an assumption that was proven correct, with the release of a new trailer for the game.
It’s the first since the game was originally slated for release this fall, the current release date being scheduled for Spring 2018. Of course, the game’s original trailer didn’t give us much to go off of, with the only real story details being revealed to us just now.
Red Dead Redemption 2 focuses on the story of Arthur Morgan and his time in the Van der Linde gang. Fans of the first game might recognize the name, as it’s the gang John Marston used to run with, before their falling-out. And with gang-boss Dutch making an appearance in the new trailer, it would seem clear that this game is a prequel to the events of the first.
Other than this, we haven’t been given too much about the story yet. Clips reveal that Morgan’s gang is being hunted, and that Morgan is also doing some hunting of his own, looking to collect money from people who supposedly owe them.
The story’s location hasn’t been revealed yet either. But with the iconic trees of the bayou in some shots and the appearance of an alligator, it may be safe to assume that the southern United States will play some role.
But beyond speculation, see the full trailer for yourself below, and stay tuned for more news:
