After a few months of skepticism, SEGA has finally shown off a new area in Sonic Forces with a bit of familiarity — Casino Forest.

Published as part of a tweet to the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account this morning, the gameplay attempts to address fan concern that not enough of the game has been shown off — especially given its early November release date. Before today, the developers had only given footage and detail to two to three areas tops, with one being the typical reappearance of Green Hill Zone.
As far as this new zone goes, SEGA described it as a forest that was transitioned into a casino once Eggman took it over. This casino theme has grown quite familiar in Sonic titles over the series’ long history, but the addition of a forest to the typical appearance is definitely a welcome and fresh fusion. In addition, this is the first Classic Sonic gameplay that SEGA had highlighted in quite some time, and some keen eye fans have already pointed out that some of the movement physics appear to be improved.
Sonic Forces is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 7. Previously, we reported on exclusive add-on content being offered to those who pre-order the game, including avatar character outfits based on several SEGA and Atlus properties.
