A listing for Fire Emblem Warriors by a Spanish retailer may have accidentally revealed the game’s final five characters — including a couple big surprises.
Featured on retailer website El Corte Ingles, the product page shows what is supposedly the Spanish boxart for a limited edition of the next Koei Tecmo developed title for Nintendo Switch. The design certainly follows the style of other already confirmed collector’s editions, including sprite artwork of all the characters and a background crest. However, this boxart includes five characters at the bottom that have not yet been officiall revealed as playable, and they appear to be Tiki, Caeda, Ana, Lyn, and Celica.
So far, the verdict on this leak’s authenticity has been mostly divided. Some individuals have claimed that the sprite used to represent Lyn on the cover is from a person’s Deviantart page, yet nobody has provided a link to said example. For gameplay reasons, however, the use of Celica and Lyn would come as quite a surprise, as it was previously confirmed that the third game represented in Warriors would be Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. Lyn and Celica hail from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and Fire Emblem Gaiden/Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, respectively.
Shown above are the physical limited editions of Fire Emblem Warriors in North America, Europe, and Japan. Whether or not this leak is fake, the full roster of characters should be known soon as the title releases on Switch and Nintendo 3DS in Japan later this month, and on October 20 in western territories. In fact, clarification could come as early as tomorrow, as Nintendo is set to stream a new Nintendo Direct.
In other news, Koei Tecmo has published two gameplay videos to their official YouTube channel, with one featuring the Hoshidan family of characters from Fire Emblem Fates, and the other featuring the Nohrian crew. The first of these displays previously unseen gameplay of both Sakura and Male Corrin taking on hordes of foes.
