Nintendo Direct Announced for September 13 at 6 PM ET; 45 Minutes Long

Cat’s out of the bag: A Nintendo Direct has been announced for this upcoming Wednesday — and it will last a whopping 45 minutes long.

After a week of foreshadowing and speculation, Nintendo has officially confirmed the existence of a Direct presentation, and there’s not long to wait at all. The showcase of everything upcoming for the Nintendo Switch and 3DS in the next few months will be streamed on Nintendo’s website, as well as their YouTube and Twitch channels, two days from now at 6 PM ET.

Specifically, the description mentions that new information and footage will be shown regarding Super Mario Odyssey, which is logical, seeing as how the game launches in a little over a month. However, with such a long duration, it’s likely that the big N will unveil new details on the rest of their holiday lineup, which includes Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Pok√©mon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and Sonic Forces, among some others. There will likely be a couple unannounced games revealed, as per usual.

It’s been awhile since the latest true, non-game specific Nintendo Direct — five months, to be exact. As a refresher, we’ve included Nintendo’s E3 Spotlight video above for viewing pleasure.
