Resident Evil Revelations Release Date Announced for Nintendo Switch

Capcom has now confirmed a release date for its first Resident Evil title on the Nintendo Switch. Revelations 1 and Revelations 2 will be arriving for the Nintendo system this fall.

Today, Capcom announced via its Resident Evil Twitter page that Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 28.

Previously, we covered the release of the first title on Xbox One and PS4, which occurred late last month, along with the announcement of the Switch release. Though Switch owners will have to wait a little longer yet, the Nintendo system’s version will have its own unique reasons for buying it.

For one, the Switch release includes Joy-Con motion controls and HD Rumble features. The Joy-Con can be used to both aim your gun and reload it, in addition to swinging melee attacks or shoving off grappling zombies. Revelations 2 has the added bonus of Switch local co-op, allowing the player to pass off a Joy-Con controller in order to explore the mystery together.

Revelations 1 and Revelations 2 will be available separately as digital downloads from the Nintendo eShop ($19.99 each), or in retail form as Resident Evil Revelations: Collection, which includes both games for $39.99.

    1. Raid Mode has been confirmed to have cooperative play (a mode that sees players fight through challenge levels), otherwise cooperative play isn’t enabled for story mode unfortunately.
