With everyone still wrapping their heads around the Season 7 finale that aired on HBO last night, one might not think to expect Game of Thrones news too soon. But if a new leak is to be believed, we might hear something soon enough.
And not necessarily what one might expect.
An upcoming Game of Thrones videogame may have just been by leaked by retailer chain Target, of all things. Yesterday, a listing appeared on the company’s website for ‘Bethesda: Game of Thrones’, simultaneously suggesting the appearance of another Game of Thrones game and tying its existence to the makers of Skyrim and Fallout.
It’s true that this could simply be a mistake on Target’s part. We certainly haven’t heard any announcements from Target, Bethesda or HBO yet. But rumors have been abound for some time linking Bethesda to a Game of Thrones project, and Telltale Games’ own saga doesn’t necessarily exclude Bethesda from making an RPG for the series.
The leaked page does in fact link to the official international page for Target. But as with any potential leak, this news should be taken with a grain of salt. If anything more happens to confirm this, it will likely happen soon.
