Nintendo’s official Gamescom stream has provided fans with their first look at the food-based Luncheon Kingdom in the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey.
Featured in two separate video segments, exstensive gameplay footage was shown of the level that had previously only been seen in trailers. It showcases everything from some new Mario transformations, new outfits he can wear, a new race he can interact with, new collectibles to gather, and new enemies to be defeated.
In addition, near the end of one of the clips, the name of one previously unannounced kingdom can be spotted on the “You got a moon!” screen. This reads as “Seaside Kingdom” and could potentially match up with the screens seen of Cheep Cheep Mario, as well as the wallpaper artwork Nintendo tweeted out last month that we reported on.
Super Mario Odyssey is expected to launch on October 27 for Nintendo Switch.
