Pokemon Tournament DX releases in a little under a month and Nintendo is quickly preparing for the fast-approaching release date.
Just two days ago, Pokemon Tournament DX launched a free demo on the Nintendo eShop. The demo features three playable Pokemon fighters—Pikachu, Charizard and the new Empoleon—along with two pairs of Support Pokemon (Snivy and Lapras or Reshiram and Cresselia). You’re also free to battle against either CPU’s or other players, though a limit of 15 battles is imposed upon the demo.
Pokemon Tournament feels really good on the Switch, and for some, 15 battles might not be very much. For those concerned about the relatively small match limit, there is a way around it however. If, after reaching the limit, you delete the demo and its associated space in the ‘Manage Software’ section of your Switch, you should then be able to re-download the demo and have another 15 matches to play.
Pokemon Tournament DX releases for the Switch on September 22. The new version includes five new Pokemon: Empoleon, Darkrai, Scizor, Croagunk and Decidueye, with the latter being a Switch exclusive.
