Xenoblade Chronicles 2 — Nintendo’s upcoming highly anticipated holiday RPG — was featured during a Gamescom livestream, providing almost a whole hour of new footage.
Showcased earlier today during the convention, the segment showcases more action compared to previous streams, finally demonstrating an in depth look at the game’s combat system and user interface. Fans familiar with the original Xenoblade Chronicles will notice that arts actions are located on the left side of the screen, while more basic blade functions are listed on the right.
The video also shows off Bluestep Ditch and an early view of Fonsa Myma, two different areas within the title. Throughout each, players will find loot and other goodies via collection markers used to signify their location.
