The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has teased that more Zelda-focused content will be coming as part of the much anticipated DLC Pack 2 for Breath of the Wild.
Aonuma revealed the info as part of a developer update blog on the official Japanese Breath of the Wild website. While no specifics were given at this time, the content is expected to be equipment useable by the player, such as clothing or weapons. This news fits in line with Aonuma’s previous remarks about how players will learn more about Princess Zelda through the new DLC story content.
Dubbed as “The Champion’s Ballad” DLC pack, focus is also expected to be placed on the five champions of Hyrule as well — Urbosa, Revali, Daruk, Mipha, and of course, Link himself. Amiibo figures of each of the non-Hyrulian champions were revealed during this year’s E3, as well as the lobster shirt for Link to wear from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as part of the upcoming DLC.
The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild DLC Pack 2, as well as the four new Amiibo, are expected to release sometime this upcoming holiday season. Those interested can purchase “The Champion’s Ballad” DLC along with the already-released DLC Pack 1 as part of the full expansion pass for $19.99 MSRP.
