Developer Marvelous has revealed new details on a duo of upcoming Senran Kagura series games for the Nintendo Switch — Peach Ball: Senran Kagura and Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura.
As detailed by Marvelous, both games will make use of the Switch’s HD Rumble functionality in “realistic” feeling gameplay. In Peach Ball, players will play a Senran Kagura themed game of pinball that will allow users to “feel” the vibrations of the ball bouncing off of objects or character body parts. No other gameplay details or release date are known at this time.
In addition, a special developer video was streamed for Shinobi Refle, containing various information on gameplay as well as overall plot. The title stars a girl named Asuka who has asked for the player’s assistance in “finding herself” after being overcome by feelings of anxiety. As Marvelous summarizes,
Asuka’s appearance and story changes through massages! Make physical contact with her starting with massages from your own hands!
Depending on where you touch, her mood will change. Take a look into the deep psyche of Asuka different from her usual self.
Enjoy Asuka in various forms, including “club junior,” “little sister,” “idol,” “tutor,” and more.
Through HD Rumble, you can enjoy heart-pounding physical contact. The feeling of a comfortable massage is more realistically transmitted through HD Rumble.
Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura is set to launch via the Nintendo Switch eShop in Japan sometime in 2017 for 1,000 yen. No western release has been confirmed, yet it is likely given the overall success the series has had in North America.
